The Chaple of Wat Chan, Songkla

Chan Temple had been abandon for sometime. It was left empty in the wood for many decades. Until recently when a new road expands to the area, the temple has been brought the live again. Unfortunately, the old chapel is too old to be restored. Hence, the chapel is designed to replace an old one. It is a medium size chapel in a Southern style mixing with Central style. Technique and materials are in modern ways, for example, the construction is concrete and steel, the decoration on the doors and windows are low relief of copper plate. Inside has a mural painting telling the story of Buddha.
